
It is best seen from the river Buriganga but can be approached from Islampur road. The pink palace was originally built by Nawab Sir Abdul Gani in 1872, and was reconstructed after the tornado of 1888. Lord Curzon stayed here as a guest of the Nawab's son after the partition of Bengal.
